Am 8. Juli 2011 startete die Raumfähre Atlantis zu ihrer 33. und letzten Mission, welche auch die letzte Mission des Space-Shuttle-Programms war. Sie transportierte Proviant, Material und Technik für Experimente zur ISS und brachte das Logistikmodul Raffaello zur Erde zurück.
