Am 13. Juli 1985 fand das von Bob Geldof initiierte Konzert Live Aid parallel im Londoner Wembley-Stadion und im John F. Kennedy Stadium in Philadelphia statt. Live Aid war ein Wohltätigkeitskonzert zu Gunsten Afrikas.
